These paintings are inspired by the invisible labor that exists in every day surroundings. Punctuated with moments precariousness- these works encapsulate the strife of humanity that is the scaffold to our daily luxury.

Starting with a camera- I photograph moments of toil- carrying, bending, pushing, pulling, and alter images digitally into precise lines. I layer the work with abstracted backgrounds, transfers of text or poetry, raw surface manipulation and stark pops of color to create layers of visual interest and emotion into the work.
